Epilepsy and Sport – Jérôme Becher
The second speaker for the Roundtable in the European Parliament has been confirmed. Jérôme Becher is an extreme sportsperson with epilepsy. He holds the Guinness world record for the longest uninterrupted swim and the European record in 24 hour swimming.
Jérôme is 30 years old and ran his first half marathon when he was 9 years old. Nowadays he competes as a triathlete.
Jérôme Becher supports people living with epilepsy and has worked to encourage people to deal openly with their epilepsy.
